polyamide. Melamine Cyanurate has established itself as the flame retardant to achieve UL 94 V-0 andUL 94 V-2 especially for polyamide 6 and Addition of MCA gives PA6(66)

good mechanical and electrical properties. Being halogen free also results in significant advantages in terms of fire safety, i.e. lower smoke density, lower smoke-toxicity and less

corrosion.

Properties

Melamine urate is a halogen-free flame retardant, also known as melamine cyanurate (MCA). It is a white crystalline powder, insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and formaldehyde; It is weakly acidic and can be well dispersed in oil medium. It is non-toxic, environment-friendly and tasteless. It is very stable at 300 ℃, endothermic decomposition and sublimation at 350 ℃. Non combustible, chemically stable, widely used in nylon, acrylic emulsion, polytetrafluoroethylene resin and other olefin resins as halogen free flame retardant components. It is especially suitable for nylon 6 and nylon 6, 6. It has good flame retardant effect, low processing smoke, and can easily reach the flame retardant effect of ul94v-o grade; It has many advantages, such as extremely low application cost, excellent electrical properties, mechanical properties and coloring properties. At the same time, when it is used as a mixed additive to manufacture flame retardant masterbatch, it has the advantage of easy processing because of its good thermal stability and excellent balance between high-efficiency flame retardancy.
