N-methylpiperazine is a colorless liquid, soluble in water, ether and ethanol. It is miscible with water and methanol in any ratio. It is weakly alkaline in aqueous solution. This product is mainly used as the intermediate of organic synthesis, in the pharmaceutical industry for the preparation of antibiotics such as mepirifomycin, antipsychotics such as trifluoperazine, also used as the intermediate of ofloxacin, clozapine, sildenafil, toluidine, zopiclone and other drugs, can also be used in pesticides, dyes, plastics and other industries.
