Potassium thiosulfate is used in crop plant production as sulfur and potassium fertilizers, a potent nitrification inhibitor for soil, and is also used as a photographic fixative, metal cleaner, silver plating solution, dechlorinating agent after bleaching of cotton fabric and dyeing aid, but also as an organic synthesis and analysis reagent.
