Polyphosphoric acid is simply a polymer of phosphoric acid. More than 100% phosphoric acid is generally called polyphosphoric acid. It is a transparent viscous liquid. With the increase of the content, the viscosity is higher, and 115% polyphosphoric acid is a glass-like viscous substance. The viscosity of polyphosphoric acid will decrease when heated.
