Sublimated salicylic acid

This product is a white block and powder, which is allowed to be slightly yellow or light pink, odorless, slightly sweet and then turned to pungent. There is no change in the air. It can be sublimated under normal pressure above 76 ℃, and it is easy to decarboxylate under normal pressure. Its aqueous solution is acidic and purple with FeCl3. This product is micro-volume in water, soluble in boiling water, soluble in ethanol and slightly soluble in chloroform.
