Miconazole nitrate is a synthetic 1-phenylethyl imidazole derivative, which belongs to the broad-spectrum antifungal drugs of imidazole. It is a commonly used drug in the treatment of tinea dermatitis. It does not contain hormones and has no side effects. Its main active ingredient is miconazole. Miconazole nitrate is rarely used in China now. Its antibacterial spectrum, antibacterial activity and action mechanism are similar to clotrimazole. It can be used as a substitute for amphotericin B in the treatment of deep fungal infection. It is suitable for the treatment of systemic and disseminated infection caused by Cryptococcus neoformans, Candida albicans and other fungi. The effect of oral absorption is poor. After local medication, it mainly stays at the lesion site and is rarely absorbed into the body. It is distributed in various tissues and fluids in the body and can penetrate into the inflamed joints, vitreous body and peritoneum. However, it has low concentration in sputum and saliva and poor penetration of blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier. The binding rate of plasma protein was 90%. It was mainly inactivated by liver metabolism to inactive metabolites.
