Chemical properties: yellow green powder. Soluble in acetic acid. It is yellow when dissolved in caustic soda solution. Insoluble in water and soda solution.

Application: the color phenol AS-BS is mainly used as the base agent for cotton dyeing red. It is used to get rose red with the big red base R and brilliant pink with blue light with the big red base G. It can also be mixed with tryptophan as or tryptophan as-ol, and then combined with bright red base g to obtain a very red color. It can also be used for dyeing vinylon, viscose fiber and silk, and for manufacturing fast pigment and neutral pigment.

Properties

NAPHTHOL AS-BS is mainly used as a red primer for cotton dyeing. It can be combined with red base R to get rose red and red base G to get brilliant peach red with blue light. It can also be mixed with chromophenol as or chromophenol as-ol, and then combined with red base G to get a very bright red.
