Properties

Tibipenem axetil is the first penem drug used in the treatment of drug-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae infection, including persistent otitis media and bacterial pneumonia. The inhibitory activity of tibipenem ester against Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae and Legionella pneumoniae is used in the treatment of ear, nose, throat and upper respiratory tract infections in pediatric patients.
