Methyl Ethyl Ketone
Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) is a perfect organic solvent. It has similar solubility with acetone. However, compared with acetone, MEK possesses the superiorities of excellent solubility, drying characteristics, relatively high boiling point and relatively low vapor pressure.

Product Uses
(1) MEK has good solubility to natural resins like rosin and camphor, cellulose esters like nitrocellulose, ethyecellulose and cellulose acetate, synthesis resins like alkyd resin, phenolic resin, polyvinyl acetate, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, vinyl chloride-vinylidene chloride copolymer, vanilione- indene resin, chloro- benzsulfamide resin, acrylic resin, polystyrene resin, chlorinated rubber and polyurethane resin.
(2) MEK is mutual soluble with many hydrocarbon solvent and can be widely used in tape, synthetic leather, coating, adhesive and printing inks industries.
(3) MEK can also be used as solvent to dewax refined lubricant and deoil paraffin and used in the production of chemical products like methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, methyl amyl ketone, butanedione and methyl pseudoionone. In addition, MEK can also be used as spices, catalyst, anti-desquamatory agent, anti-oxidant and corrosion inhibitor.
