CAS:1314-35-8
Molecular formula:O3W
Molecular weight:231.84
Structure:
Physicochemical properties: Light yellow triclinic powder crystal. When the temperature is higher than 740 ℃, it turns into orange tetragonal crystal, which returns to its original state after cooling. Stable in air, melting point 1473 ℃, boiling point higher than 1750 ℃, relative density 7.16. It is the most soluble salt of tungsten in aqueous solution, except tungsten hydroxide and inorganic hydrofluoric acid. When the temperature is higher than 650 ℃, it can be reduced by H2, and tungsten powder can be reduced by C at 1000 ~ 1100 ℃.
Application: It can be used as raw material for making metal tungsten, manufacturing cemented carbide, cutting tools, molds and tungsten drawing wires. It can also be used in powder metallurgy, X-ray screen and fireproof fabric, as well as colorant and analytical reagent of ceramic ware.
