3-(Methylthio)Propanoic Acid; 3-Methylmercaptopropionic Acid; 3-Methylsulfanylpropanoic Acid
Brief Introduction
3-(methylthio)propionic acid is a thia fatty acid acid consisting of propionic acid with a methylthio substituent at the 3-position; an intermediate in mammalian methionine metabolism in vitro. The simplest known phytotoxin, it is a blight-inducing toxin produced by the cassava pathogen Xanthomonas campestris manihotis. It has a role as a phytotoxin. It derives from a propionic acid. It is a conjugate acid of a 3-(methylthio)propionate.

2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10-Octahydropyrimido[1,2-A]Azepine; 1,8-Diazabicyclo(5.4.0)Undec-7-Ene; Dbu
Brief Introduction
The chemical formula of 1,8-diazabicyclo [5.4.0] undecane-7-ene (DBU) is c9h16n2. It is used as catalyst, ligand and non nucleophilic base in organic synthesis. DBU can be isolated from a sponge called niphates digitalis and is therefore also considered an alkaloid. DBU can be used as curing agent of epoxy resin; It can also be used as a protective agent in the synthesis of cephalosporin; DBU is also used in the purification of fullerene-c60 (DBU reacts with fullerenes with C70 or more carbon numbers, but does not interact with C60); DBU was also used as catalyst in the synthesis of polyurethane. DBU is also used as a catalyst in the reaction of alicyclic and aliphatic isocyanates.
