Disodium bisulfite is a kind of strong reducing agent, which has a wide range of applications: 1. It is widely used in textile industry as reducing agent for vat dyeing, reducing bleaching agent, printing aid for vat dyes, refining and bleaching agent for silk, stripping agent for dyes and cleaning agent for dyeing vat, etc; 2. It is widely used in paper industry as bleaching agent for mechanical pulp, thermomechanical pulp and deinked pulp. It is the most suitable bleaching agent for wood pulp papermaking; 3. As a reducing bleaching agent, it is widely used in the bleaching of kaolin, fur, bamboo and straw products; 4. It is used in mineral processing, synthesis of thiourea and sulfide, etc; 5. It is used as reducing agent in chemical industry; 6. Food additive grade is mainly used in food industry, widely used in preserves, dried fruits, dried vegetables, vermicelli, grapes.

It is used as raw material for synthetic resin and coating, as well as impregnant, dispersant and lubricant in petroleum industry, fabric, plastic and paper industry, and as plasticizer for PVC resin and methacrylic resin. Maleate is used as an intermediate in organic synthesis, mainly in addition reaction on double bond. For example, Diels alder reaction is carried out with butadiene and cyclopentadiene to add compounds containing active hydrogen such as hydrogen, nitrile, mercaptan and amine. The famous surfactant dialkyl succinate sulfonate is prepared by the addition of sodium bisulfite. When other ammonia and amines are added with maleate, they undergo amidation (amidation) reaction due to ammonolysis, that is, they play the role of acylating agent. Diethyl maleate is widely used. It is also used as an intermediate in the production of pesticides and medicine such as marathon, and also in the production of polymer compounds; Dimethyl maleate, dibutyl ester and dioctyl ester are excellent plasticizers for PVC; It can be copolymerized with vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and other monomers and used as coating, adhesive, impregnating agent, dispersant and lubricant for papermaking and fabrics; Diisooctyl maleate and dinonyl maleate are good petroleum pour point depressants.

Tetrahydropyrrole has the properties and reactions of general amines. It is widely used in medicine, food, pesticides, daily chemicals, coatings, textiles, printing and dyeing, papermaking, photosensitive materials, polymer materials, desulfurizer, zeolite template materials and other fields.

Anhydrous and nonaqueous substances are colorless and soluble solids, which are hydrolyzed in aqueous solution to be strongly alkaline. When exposed in the air, sodium sulfide will release toxic hydrogen sulfide gas with the smell of rotten eggs. Colorless crystal, easily deliquescent, soluble in water and ethanol.
