Acetylacetone is soluble in water, ethanol, benzene, chloroform, ether, acetone, ethyl acetate and glacial acetic acid. This product is used as an intermediate in pesticide and medicine. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of pesticide thiazolam, broadleaf powder and drug tenoxicam.

As a fine intermediate, this product is widely used in the synthesis of fluorine-containing pesticides, pharmaceuticals, organic intermediates and fine chemical products.
