Brief Introduction
Piroxicam is a benzothiazide non steroidal long-acting anti-inflammatory drug. It has a strong inhibitory effect on PG synthase in vivo, and can inhibit the movement of leukocytes to inflammatory areas and the outward release of lysosomal enzymes. Therefore, it has strong antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti rheumatic effects and certain detumescence effects. It is mainly used for muscle, bone and joint diseases, such as joint rigid spondylitis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and acute gout.
