Brief Introduction
This product is the intermediate of rosuvastatin calcium. Rosuvastatin calcium is a selective 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase inhibitor. By inhibiting HMG CoA reductase, rosuvastatin calcium can reduce the synthesis and storage of cholesterol in hepatocytes, thereby reducing the levels of total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol in blood.
