Brief Introduction
Mosapride citrate is the fourth generation of gastrointestinal prokinetic drugs. It is a potent selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist. It stimulates acetylcholine release by stimulating 5-HT4 receptors in the myenteric plexus and enhances gastric and duodenal motility. It is used clinically for functional dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, diabetic gastroparesis, and gastric dysfunction in patients undergoing partial gectomy. The common adverse reactions include diarrhea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, rash, burnout and headache. At present, its market products are only tablets, dispersive tablets, capsules and other oral formulations. Mosapride citrate is similar to cisapride, all of which are benzoamide derivatives. By stimulating the 5-HT4 receptor of intestinal plexus, the release of acetylcholine at the end of nerve increases, and promotes gastrointestinal movement and gastric emptying. It has the advantages of strong receptor selectivity, good pharmacokinetics, selective action in digestive tract and small dose. Electrophysiological study showed that it had no effect on prolonging the action potential of isolated ventricular muscle and puccid fiber, so it has better safety.
