Brief Introduction
It is used as a main agent for blending with eugenol, and is often used as a main ingredient of carnation flavor. Other kinds of flower fragrance are also widely used. The essence used for cosmetics and soap is very stable. It is also used as food spice for apple, grape, plum, apricot, raspberry (Shu Mei) or walnut food flavors. It is also used in dental medicine. In industry, vanillin is usually prepared by oxidation of isoeugenol.

Para-Mentha-1,8-Dien-6-Ol; 2-Methyl-5-Isopropenyl-1-Cyclohexene-3-Ol; L-Carveol; 2-Methyl-5-(1-Methylethenyl)-2-Cyclohexen-1-ol; 1-Methyl-4-Isopropenyl-6-Cyclohexen-2-ol; 5-Isopropenyl-2-Methyl-2-Cyclohexen-1-ol
Brief Introduction
Carveol is a natural unsaturated, monocyclic monoterpenoid alcohol that is a constituent of spearmint essential oil in the form of cis-(−)-carveol. It is a colorless fluid soluble in oils, but insoluble in water and has an odor and flavor that resemble those of spearmint and caraway. Consequently, it is used as a fragrance in cosmetics and as a flavor additive in the food industry. It has been found to exhibit chemoprevention of mammary carcinogenesis (prevents breast cancer). An alpha-trans-dihydroxy derivative ((1R,2R,6S)-3-methyl-6-(prop-1-en-2-yl)cyclohex-3-ene-1,2-diol) possesses potent antiparkinsonian activity in animal models.

Brief Introduction
Carvone is a member of a family of chemicals called terpenoids. Carvone is found naturally in many essential oils, but is most abundant in the oils from seeds of caraway (Carum carvi), spearmint (Mentha spicata), and dill.Used in toothpaste essence and food flavors.
