Brief Introduction
2-Amino-6-methoxybenzothiazole is mainly used as the intermediate of cationic dyes to produce cationic Brilliant Blue RL and cationic yellow 2RL. 6-methoxy-3-methylbenzothiazole hydrazone was prepared from it, and then cationic yellow was produced. 2-Amino-6-methoxybenzothiazole is an intermediate for the preparation of Novel Schiff bases and 4-thiazolidinones. It is also used for the synthesis of 2-cyano-6-methoxybenzothiazole.
