Brief Introduction
The pure product of 2-naphthylamine-4,8-disulfonic acid is white crystal, soluble in water, and the industrial product is brown liquid or gray paste with blue fluorescence. After sulfonation of naphthalene with fuming sulfuric acid and nitration with mixed acid, 2-nitro-4,8-dinaphthylsulfonic acid magnesium salt was obtained by separating isomers with magnesium salt. Sodium salt was made by adding sodium hydroxide, and then was prepared by reduction. It is a dye intermediate used for the synthesis of reactive dyes and direct dyes, such as reactive yellow, reactive golden yellow, reactive brown and direct light blue b2bl.
