Brief Introduction
1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide hydrochloride is used as an activating reagent for carboxyl group in amide synthesis, as well as for activating phosphate group, cross-linking of protein and nucleic acid and preparation of immune conjugate. Its pH range is 4.0-6.0. It is often used with N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) or n-hydroxythiosuccinimide to improve coupling efficiency.
