Hydroxycyclopropane; Cyclopropyl Alcohol; Hydroxy-Cyclopropan; (1α)-Cyclopropanol; Cyclopropane-1-ol; 2-Cyclopropanol
Brief Introduction
Cyclopropanol is a basic building material, and due to the unstable tension of the ternary ring, it is prone to ring opening and the formation of acetaldehyde. Therefore, cyclopropanol can be used as a synthetic subunit for enol aldehyde. Cyclopropanol is also used to introduce cyclopropyl groups into molecules, synthesizing cyclopropyl esters, sulfonic acid esters, and amines. Compounds containing cyclopropyl groups are potential antiviral drugs and also used in protein transport control research.
