Bistriphenylphosphonium palladium dichloride, insoluble in water. Soluble in toluene and benzene, slightly soluble in acetone and chloroform. The melting point is 260 degrees Celsius, and it is mainly used as a catalyst for coupling reactions such as Sonog oshira coupling, carbonylation catalysts for halogenated compounds, halogenated alkyls to produce aldehydes, carboxylic acids, amides, etc. The halogenated alkyl reacts with acetylene to form alkyne compounds with extended carbon chains.
