The main applications of sulfamic acid include:

1. The main raw material for producing sweeteners: consume about 0.7 tons of sulfamic acid for producing one ton’s sweetener.

2. The most efficient double ion cleaning agent: metal clean; eliminate metal surface’s oxide layer; with less corrosion to metals than other inorganic acids; can be used for boiler cleaning and water treatment sterilization.

3. Paper pulp decolorizer: bleach fiber, wood, and paper; get rid of nitrite from tobacco.

4. Vulcanizing agent; catalytic agent; sanitizer; fire retardant.

5. Make dyestuff and pigment.

6. Electroplating assistive.

7. In analytical chemistry can be used as the standard reagent for acid-base titration.
