Atropine is a parasympathetic inhibitor, which can be used as pupil dilator and cathartic in ophthalmology; It can reduce hay fever, cold, nasal obstruction and intestinal spasm; It can be used to treat nocturia in children, and sometimes to relieve ureteral and biliary spasm; It can also be used to treat poisoning caused by organic phosphorus.
