Physicochemical properties: solid sodium hypochlorite is white powder. General industrial products are colorless or light yellow liquids. It has a pungent smell. Easily soluble in water to produce caustic soda and hypochlorous acid.
Product application: mainly used for bleaching pulp, textiles (such as cloth, towel, T-shirt, etc.), chemical fiber and starch. The soap industry is used as a bleaching agent for oils and fats. Chemical industry is used to produce hydrazine hydrate, monochloramine and dichloroamine. It is also used to produce chlorinating agent for cobalt and nickel. It is used as water purifying agent, bactericide and disinfectant in water treatment. The dye industry is used to make sulfurized royal blue. Organic industry is used to produce chloropicrin and calcium carbide, which are hydrated to produce acetylene detergent.
