Sodium Hypochlorite
1、 Introduction
Sodium hypochlorite is the most common "chlorine" bleach in home washing. Other similar bleaching agents include potassium hypochlorite, lithium hypochlorite or calcium hypochlorite, sodium hypobromate or sodium hypoiodate, chlorine containing oxide solution, chlorinated trisodium phosphate, sodium trichloroisocyanurate or potassium, but they are usually not used in household washing. Bleach is a variant that can destroy the chromogenic system or produce a chromophore.
2、 Precautions
1) Do not pressurize during flushing, and do not block the root canal with the needle, so as to prevent the solution from exceeding the apical hole and damaging the tissue around the apical.
In order to make the solution reach the root canal at 1 / 3 of the root tip, it should be used after the root canal preparation is fully unobstructed.
2)It shall be prepared fresh, kept away from light, heat and sealed.
3) When the concentration is high, it will stimulate the mucosa.
3、 First aid measures
Skin contact: take off contaminated clothes and rinse with a large amount of flowing water.
Eye contact: lift the eyelids and rinse with flowing water or normal saline. See a doctor.
Inhalation: quickly leave the site to a place with fresh air. Keep respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, carry out artificial respiration immediately and seek medical attention.
Ingestion: drink enough warm water to induce vomiting. See a doctor.
Sodium hypochlorite, chemical formula NaClO, is the hypochlorite of sodium. Hypochlorous acid produced by the reaction of sodium hypochlorite with carbon dioxide is an effective component of bleach.
