Edoxaban(Tosylate Monohydrate)

Product introduction:

On January 8, 2015, The United States FDA approved edoxaban, an anticoagulant drug of Daiichi Sankyo pharmaceutical company in Japan, with the trade name of savaysa. Edoxaban is an oral tablet of selective coagulation factor Xa inhibitor, which is used to prevent and treat deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism and reduce non valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) patients have stroke and systemic embolism risk events. At present, there are three specifications: 60mg, 30mg and 15mg.

Biological activity:

Edoxaban (du-176b) is a selective inhibitor of factor Xa and an anticoagulant with oral effect.

In vitro studies:

In human plasma, 0.256 and 0.508 μ Edoxaban of M doubled prothrombin time and activated partial prothrombin kinase time, respectively.

In vivo studies:

Oral administration of edoxaban produced effective anti Xa activity and high plasma drug concentration in rats and monkeys. In vivo, edoxaban inhibited thrombosis in rat and rabbit thrombotic models in a dose-dependent manner.
