Product introduction:
Chondroitin sulfate (CS) is a kind of glycosaminoglycans covalently linked to proteins to form proteoglycans. Chondroitin sulfate is widely distributed in the extracellular matrix and cell surface of animal tissues. The sugar chain is composed of alternating glucuronic acid and N-acetylgalactosamine (also known as N-acetylgalactosamine) disaccharide units, which are connected to the serine residue of core protein through a sugar like link region.
Chondroitin sulfate exists in all organisms from nematodes to humans, except plants, and plays many important physiological functions. Although the main chain structure of polysaccharide is not complex, it shows a high degree of heterogeneity in terms of the degree of sulfation, sulfate group and the distribution of the two differences to the re chain of isouronic acid. The fine structure of chondroitin sulfate determines the functional specificity and interaction with a variety of protein molecules.
Chemical property:
Unsaturated sugars produced by CS under acidic, alkaline and enzymatic conditions, including oligosaccharides or disaccharides of low molecular weight CS and CS, are mixed with β- Elimination reaction.
The degradation degree of CS under acidic, alkaline and neutral conditions is expressed by the UV absorbance value at 232nm. The greater the UV absorbance value, the greater the degradation degree, which reflects the stability of CS under different conditions.
Physical property:
CS is an acidic mucopolysaccharide extracted from animal tissues, which is white or off white powder; Odorless; It is hygroscopic. The aqueous solution of this product is viscous and does not condense when heated. This product is easily soluble in water and insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone and ether. Its salts are relatively stable to heat and will not be damaged when heated up to 80 ℃. Chondroitin sulfate aqueous solution is unstable in case of high temperature or acid. It is mainly deacetylated or degraded into monosaccharides or polysaccharides with small molecular weight.

1. Drugs
2. Health products
3. Food additives
