Purpose:Ebomycin B is a stable microtubule (MT) drug derived from the natural Myxobacterium sorangium cellosum. It is a macrolide antitumor factor. Epob has similar biological characteristics to EPOA. However, epob has 10 times the efficacy against P-glycoprotein expressing multidrug resistance (MDR) cells (IC50 = 2nm for mdrccrf-cem / vbl100cells). Ebomycin B is similar to paclitaxel and can replace paclitaxel in cell growth.

Summary
ebomycin B is a stable drug of microtubule (MT). It comes from the natural myxobacteria sorangium cellulosum and is a macrolide antitumor factor. The biological characteristics of epob and EPOA are similar. However, in MDR cells (IC50 = 2nm for mdrccrf-cem / vbl100 cells), epob was 10 times more effective than EPOA- Ebomycin B is similar to paclitaxel and can replace paclitaxel in cell growth. Epob caused cell cycle arrest (IC50 = 3.5 nm).
