It is commonly used in the dye industry to synthesize ice dye red base KB and chromophenol AS-KB.

Application: used as a color developer for dyeing and printing of cotton, silk and nylon fabrics. Used to make fast pigment. In the dye industry, ice dye red base KB and chromophenol (AS-KB) can be synthesized directly. It is also an important pesticide intermediate.
