P-nitrotoluene is a yellow hexagonal crystal, insoluble in water, but easily soluble in ethanol, ether and benzene. P-nitrotoluene is the intermediate of herbicide chlorotoluron, and it is also an important chemical raw material. It can be used to produce p-toluidine, p-nitrobenzoic acid, p-nitrotoluene sulfonic acid, 2-chloro-4-nitrotoluene, 2-nitro-4-methylaniline, dinitrotoluene, etc. it is also the intermediate of medicine and dye. This product is mainly used as the intermediate of pesticide, dyestuff, medicine, plastics and synthetic fiber additives.
