Product Applications

Clomazone Mode of action Selective herbicide, absorbed by the roots and shoots and translocated upward. Susceptible species emerge but are devoid of pigmentation. Clomazone Uses Control of broad-leaved and grass weeds in soya beans, peas, maize, oilseed rape, sugar cane, cassava, pumpkins, and tobacco. Applied pre-emergence or pre-plant incorporated. Phytotoxicity Foliar contact or vapours may cause visual symptoms of chlorosis to nearby sensitive plants.

Properties

Clomazone is a selective pre bud herbicide. It can be transmitted upward to all parts of the plant through root and bud absorption, so as to inhibit the synthesis of isoprene compounds. It hinders the biosynthesis of carotene and chlorophyll in sensitive plants, so that although this plant can sprout and emerge, it has no pigment and dies in a short time. It is suitable for weeding in soybean field, and can also be used to control annual gramineous weeds and broad-leaved grass in sugarcane, peanut, potato, tobacco and other crop fields.
