L-Cysteine-glutathione Disulfide is the etherification product of L-cysteine and glutathione. L-cysteine is a non essential amino acid. It is an isomer of cysteine, which can be converted from methionine. It is soluble in water, slightly odorous, insoluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether and other organic solvents. Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide which is composed of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine, and contains sulfhydryl group. It has antioxidant and integrated detoxification effects.
