It is also used as oil dispersant, rubber additive, wetting agent, etc. Coating solvent can prevent coating film from scaling, gelation and initial hardening. Due to the appropriate volatility, it has good ductility and leveling. Its solubility is similar to turpentine. It is used as a substitute for turpentine or petroleum solvent in floor wax and furniture gloss. In addition, it can also be used as dispersant of oil, resin and pigment, diluent of synthetic resin varnish and enamel, wetting agent of enamel pigment, rubber desulfurizer, etc. The mixed solvent composed of petroleum diluent and 1,8-terpene diene (12% ~ 20%) can dissolve the insoluble resinous substances in petroleum. Used as solvent and in organic synthesis.
