Bis ethylhexoxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine is an oil-soluble organic compound added to sunscreen to absorb ultraviolet rays. It is a wide area (broadband) ultraviolet external line absorber with high light stability. It can absorb UVB and UVA. There are two absorption peaks, which are located at the wavelengths of 310 and 340 nm respectively.

Rosmarinic acid is a water-soluble natural phenolic acid compound isolated from rosemary, a plant of Labiatae. Rosmarinic acid is a natural antioxidant with strong antioxidant activity. Its antioxidant activity is stronger than vitamin E, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid and folic acid.
