Beta-Carboxyglutaric Acid; Carballylic Acid; Tricarballylate; 1,2,3-Propanetricarboxylic Acid; 3-Carboxy-Pentanedioic Acid; Akos 223-48; Propane-1,2,3-Tricarboxylic Acid
Brief Introduction
Propane-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid, also known as tricarballylic acid, carballylic acid, and beta-carboxyglutaric acid, is a tricarboxylic acid that has three carboxylic acid functional groups. The compound is an inhibitor of the enzyme aconitase and therefore interferes with the Krebs cycle. Esters of propane-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid are found in natural products such as the mycotoxins fumonisin B1 and B2 and AAL toxin TA and in macrocyclic inhibitors of Ras farnesyl-protein transferase (FPTase) like actinoplanic acid. It can be synthesized in two steps from fumaric acid.

4-Oxopyran-2,6-Dicarboxylic Acid; 4-Pyranone-2,6-Dicarboxylic Acid; 4-Ketopyran-2,6-Dicarboxylic Acid; Chelidonic Acid,4-Oxo-4H-Pyran-2,6-Dicarboxylic Acid; Greater Calandine Herb; 4H-Pyran-2,6-Dicarboxylic Acid, 4-Oxo-
Brief Introduction
Chelidonic acid is a heterocyclic organic acid with a pyran skeleton. Chelidonic acid can be prepared in two steps from diethyl oxalate and acetone. It occurs naturally in plants of the Asparagales order.
