Quinidine is an antiarrhythmic drug. Sulfate is commonly used, but hydrochloride and gluconate are also useful. Quinidine sulfate is a white crystalline powder, odorless, extremely bitter, melting point 175 ~ 176 ℃, easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. Quinidine is an alkaloid extracted from the bark of Rubiaceae plant Golden Rooster sodium.
