Purpose:

It is used as flame retardant in plastics, rubber, textile, fiber and papermaking industries, such as epoxy, polycarbonate, polyester, phenolic and ABS resins, so that the products have good flame retardancy and self extinguishing. At present, it is officially used in epoxy resin pouring of TV high-voltage package.

Typical Properties

Tetrabromobisphenol A is a multipurpose flame retardant. It is used as thermosetting resin such as phenolic resin and unsaturated polyester resin, polystyrene, as, ABS, etc. it is very effective as additive flame retardant. Better results can be obtained when it is used as reactive flame retardant in epoxy resin and polycarbonate.
