2-Aminophenol - Properties
The pure product is white acicular crystal, which gradually turns black in light and air. Can sublimate. Density 1 328g/cm3。 Melting point 174 ℃. Insoluble in benzene, soluble in ethanol and water. In case of ferric chloride, it is red and forms water-soluble salt with inorganic acid.
2-Aminophenol Preparation method
O-nitrochlorobenzene is heated and heated in sodium hydroxide solution, hydrolyzed under a certain pressure to obtain sodium o-nitrophenol, then reduced with alkali sulfide, acidified with carbon dioxide, cooled and filtered, immersed in sodium bisulfite solution, centrifuged and dried to obtain the finished product.

2-Aminophenol- Safety
