Cephalothin Sodium
Introduction:
Cephalothin sodium (thiasporine) is the first generation cephalosporin. Clinically, it is mainly used for Staphylococcus aureus and streptococcal infection, and can also be used for urinary tract infection caused by gram-negative bacteria. Because thiasporine has strong antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and is stable against penicillin enzyme, it has become a satisfactory drug against Staphylococcus infection and bacteremia caused by Staphylococcus aureus It can be used as the drug of choice for endocarditis infected by Staphylococcus. It is also used as a substitute for penicillin in hemolytic streptococcus and pneumococcal infection, but its curative effect is worse and expensive than penicillin.
Chemical properties:
Cephalothin (base) has a melting point of 160-160.5 ℃. It is a white crystalline powder. It is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in chloroform or ether. The aqueous solution is relatively stable at low temperature and almost odorless.
Category: toxic substances
Indication:
Cefotaxin sodium is mainly used to treat various infections caused by penicillin resistant strain g, such as urinary infection, endocarditis, meningitis, prostatitis, biliary tract infection, scarlet fever, etc.
Purpose:
The product is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic during reproduction. It is mainly used for infections caused by penicillin G-resistant bacteria, such as respiratory system, biliary tract, urinary tract infection, Staphylococcus aureus meningitis, endocarditis, sepsis, tonsillitis, osteomyelitis and scarlet fever. Use: a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic in breeding period. It is stable to penicillinase and has a strong effect on Gram-positive bacteria.
Storage and transportation characteristics: the warehouse is low temperature, ventilated and dry
