Sulfuric acid (industrial grade)
Product introduction:
Sulfuric acid is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula H2SO4, an important oxygenated acid of sulfur. Pure sulfuric acid is a colorless oily liquid, which crystallizes at 10.36 ℃. Its aqueous solutions of different concentrations are usually used and prepared by tower method and contact method. The former is crude dilute sulfuric acid, and the mass fraction is generally about 75%; The latter can obtain 98.3% concentrated sulfuric acid, boiling point 338 ℃, relative density 1.84. Sulfuric acid is an active binary inorganic strong acid, which can react with most metals. High concentration sulfuric acid has strong water absorption and can be used as dehydrating agent to carbonize carbohydrate containing substances such as wood, paper, cotton and linen fabrics and biological skin and meat. When mixed with water, it will also release a lot of heat energy. It has strong corrosivity and oxidizability, so it should be used with caution. It is an important industrial raw material, which can be used to manufacture fertilizers, explosives, pigments, detergents, batteries, etc. it is also widely used in industries such as oil purification, metal smelting and dyes. It is often used as a chemical reagent and as a dehydrating agent and sulfonating agent in organic synthesis.
Industrial sulfuric acid is mainly used to produce chemical fertilizer; Refined sulfuric acid is used in battery industry and test reagent; Electronic grade sulfuric acid is used for etching and cleaning in microelectronic industries such as semiconductor, photovoltaic and solar energy.
