【Basic information】
Citronellol is also known as vanilla oil or male cutting Xuan oil. It is obtained from the whole grass of citronella by steam distillation. Light yellow liquid. It has a strong aroma of mountain pepper. The main components of citronella oil are citronellal, geraniol and citronellol. It is used to extract citronellal for the synthesis of hydroxycitronellal, geraniol and menthol.
