When used together with barbital, the antipyretic effect can be enhanced, the action time can be prolonged, and the toxicity also increases. It has a relaxing effect on intestinal smooth muscle, and its effect is weaker than that of Papaver poppy, but four times that of aminopyrine. This product is rarely used alone. It is often combined with other antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs to enhance the therapeutic effect. It also has synergistic effect with ephedrine and caffeine.
