Heptaminol is an amino alcohol which is classified as a vasoconstrictor (C01DX08 (WHO)). It is sometimes used in the treatment of low blood pressure, particularly orthostatic hypotension. Brief Introduction
Micacin is a semi synthetic aminoglycoside antibiotic, which is obtained by introducing aminohydroxybutyryl chain into the streptomycin part of kanamycin a molecule. Its sulfate is commonly used as white or off white crystalline powder; Almost odorless and tasteless. It is very soluble in water and almost insoluble in methanol, acetone or chloroform. The antibacterial spectrum is similar to that of gentamicin. It has good antibacterial effect on Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, indole negative and positive Proteus, Klebsiella, Acinetobacter, Citrobacter, Serratia and Enterobacter. Amikacin also has good antibacterial effect on Mycobacterium tuberculosis, atypical mycobacterium and Staphylococcus aureus. Other gram-positive cocci, anaerobic bacteria, Rickettsia, fungi and viral bacteria are not sensitive to this product.
