More Information
N-(4-(1-Hydroxy-2-(Isopropylamino)Ethyl)Phenyl)Methanesulfonamide; Beta-Cardone; Sotalolum; Dl-Sotalol
Brief Introduction
Sotalol is a potent non selective drug β Receptor antagonists; The effect of racemate is lower than that of propranolol; It has no endogenous sympathetic activity and membrane stability. It has obvious effects of anti myocardial ischemia, raising the threshold of ventricular fibrillation, and has anti fibrillation and anti sympathetic effects.

Dilavase; Isoxsuprina [Inn-Spanish]; 1-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)-2-(1-Methyl-2-Phenoxyethylamino)-1-Propanol; Isoxsuprine; Einecs 206-898-2; Vasosurpine; Isoxsuprinum [Inn-Latin]; Isoxsuprine [Inn:Ban]; Isoxspurine; Vasodilian; 1-(P-Hydroxyphenyl)-2-(1'-Methyl-2'-Phenoxyethylamino)-1-Propanol
Brief Introduction
Isoxsuprine is a benzyl alcohol derivative with vasodilator activity. The mechanism of action of isoxsuprine hydrochloride is controversial, because isoxsuprine has beta-adrenergic activities that could not be offset by beta-adrenergic blockers. Although stimulation of the beta adrenergic receptor increases blood flow to produce vasodilatation, this agent may also have direct effects on the contractility of smooth muscle. Additionally, isoxsuprine causes relaxation of uterine smooth muscle and may also produce positive inotropic and chronotropic effects on the myocardium.
