Product Property: Cholecalciferol is another name for vitamin D3. Colorless acicular crystal or white crystal powder; odorless and tasteless; perishable when exposed to light or air. It is freely soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform, and acetone, sparingly soluble in plant oil, and insoluble in water.
Pharmacology and effect: it’s a kind of vitamin medicine. Vitamin D2promotes calcium absorption of brush border of small intestinal mucosa and phosphorus reabsorption of kidney tubules, improves the levels of blood calcium and blood phosphorus, and works together with parathyroid hormone and calcitonin to accelerate old bones to release phosphorus, acid, and calcium so as to maintain and adjust the calcium and phosphorus concentrations in blood plasma.
Indications:
1. Prevention and cure for vitamin deficiency.
2. Cure for chronic hypocalcemia, hypophosphatemia, rickets, and osteomalacia, familial hypophosphatemia, hypoparathyroidism that accompany chronic renal insufficiency.
3. Cure for acute, chronic, or potential post-operation tetany and idiopathic tetany.
Vitamin D3 can maintain the normal metabolism of calcium and phosphorus and promote the body's absorption of calcium and phosphorus. It is used to treat rickets and osteomalacia. It is mainly used for food, health products and other related products.
